Evolving Metropolis, Is Vizag safe???

Vizag is the new evloving metropolis in India and with vital defence installations and other key establishments, let us look whether the city is safe from islamic terror?

According to Greater Vizag, population of the city should have a police strength of 8000 and how much does we have now? A mere 2000 police lame force, with outdated weapons and ammuniation. Whats the reason?

Home ministry is spending 70% of budget allocations to police modernization in Hyderabad and showing a empty hand to Vizag. No other city in our state needs the police modernization as Hyderabad and Vizag.

We may imagine the situation if we didnt have the support of Navy and other defence establishment force like CISF to support our police in times of issues.

Vizag is now emerging as the top destination for IT, BT, Petro chemicals, avaiation sector related investments and we cant let execuses for securing our city. Its better late than never, if anyone from the govt is hearing I request them to increase the police force at Vizag and modernize them.

I strongly do not feel Vizag is a safe place and is not really prepared to become a metro of the sizes of say, at least, Hyderabad

every week Both HPCL and Navy gets threatening calls frm LTTE and muslim jihadhis and i have seen several internal circulars tightening their security and mock drills(real serious) performance in case of an attack. I have seen live several times. ho ever vizag is very safe and unless it is an international conspiracy small birds cannot do any thing. mumbai/delhi/gujarat have several other reasons incl. political for frequent incidents like the same which is occuring since last 3-4 days

True. Vizag has far few more reasons to be so panicy. After all, we have all the three defense force establishments who can act swiftly in case of such a situation. You are right in saying Vizag does not have much of political activity that could create panic. Hyderabad and Vijayawada takes the lead before us Wink
