| Now that the rule of the present government has come to an end. Some people may like to take stock of the positives and negatives of this government impact on Vizag city. let me start with a few
Positives
The initiative of JNURRM (though not specific to vizag and not by the state government)
VIMS
negatives
Absolutely no new big idea (apart from the CU proposal which looks very doubtful now) for vizag unlike the previous goverments Gangavaram port, expansion of airport etc
The big ideas of previous goverment were implemented in much delayed manner - night landing of Airport, increasing the STPI, gangavaram port
Failed to make any big impact on IT scene in Vizag inspite of promises
Failed to replicate the buzz created around Hyderabad by CBN
Volkswagon fiasco
Donation of prime urban land to Satyam which is now a dubious company.
No progress on long standing demands such as railway zone etc
Very slow progress in diverting trains from duvvada to vizag
Up to you guys now to take it forward |

| | It should be noted that both JNURRM and CU are central government proposal and not state government initiatives. For a party which came to power on the plank that CBN developement is Hyd centric the record of their administration seems rather dismal ? |
