When Chandra Babu Naidu was in power in Andhra Pradesh, many state-owned industries in Andhra Pradesh were planned to privatise. Government has intentionally pushed profit making public sector industries into losses and closed them and planned to sell them to private parties. Chandra Babu Naidu lost in 2004 elections and Congress government came into power. Congress government didn’t re-open those closed industries. What about families that depended on those industries for livelihood and lost employment by closure of those industries? Now they are either living in hunger or migrated to other states in search of employment. Congress government is presently spending money for constructing irrigation projects. Re-opening closed industries doesn’t require much expense. Some factories may require change of old machinery. If government is really interested in reviving those industries, cost of changing that machinery won’t be problem. Closing profit making public sector industries for privatisation is as ridiculous as burning sandalwood for selling charcoal. Presently ruling Congress party must re-open all the industries that were closed during Chandra Babu Naidu’s bankruptive (diwalakhor) regime.

What about re-opening those industries that doesn't require change of any machinery?
