I don't know about these two words. I can also say that the word kasai (butcher) originated from Persian word (khassab).

Norlu tirakka oorla perlu kooda marchestaru. Malleswaram as Mylavaram, Baleswaram as Ballari (Bellary), Veligandala as Elgandal etc.....

Sannasi = sanyasi, bairagi = vyragi (ragam i.e. taste teliyani vadu), dhaddhamma = doddamma (peddamma) ani chala mandiki elaga teliyado idi kooda anthe...........

Congratulations to All Telugites!

The long cherished dream of Telugites finally fulfilled with the announcement of classical status to Telugu. With this announcement it is finally acknowledged that its antiquity goes back at least 1500 years. This is a historic day for Telugites. I hope we don't need to face silly claims like Sanskritized Telugu or Dravidian(tamil) Telugu. Telugu is Telugu.

Classical status: four-year effort successful -- From Hindu
