becoz, vizag the only city having very important installations like oil, gas, petrochemical and deffence establishments but the entire other parts of state does not have the same except volatile hydewrabad and ISRO and Manuguru heavy water project . that'sall. power projects are not so danger even vizag district is having 2 power projects like simhadri, NTPC and seleru 1000MW hydro project...

| | The issue of safety comes back again with latest attacks in our capital. I don't think Vizag is any exception, except the fact that it has very little muslim population. As stalinist said that all musilms are not terrorists but most of the terrorists in these incidents are muslims. Once security is tightened in these cities, it is very likely they move to more tier ii cities. BTW, they don't attack any defense installations. Their modus operandi is simple. Attack defenseless people in crowded places. |

| several new projects have come up recently in vizag this include SALPG pvt Ltd, the only LPG cavern in Asia with 70000MT capacity, new crude cevern under construction, HPCL refinery, Coromandel, vedantha's HZL,Gangavaram port, container terminal with eastern gateway, besides SEZ which includes apperal city by Brandix, philkington, WS wires, United plus pharma city, LG polymers, Rain calcining, Essar, Shipyard,Alu flouride, Andhra petro and several installations like 2 nos Vizag-secuderabad Pipe Lines by hp and gail. Even one is attacked the city and its suburbs will be in great danger. How ever Eastern naval command and Coast guard are capable of containing any possiable terrorist threat.
