I doubt if the Tata's will be keen for Andhra Pradesh. I think they are more keen on Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra or even Orissa than Andhra Pradesh.

Andhrapradesh is surrounded by 3 metro like 1. BANGLORE,
2. CHENNAI,3.HYDERABAD.........so people dont have problem with which state get which project..........

In AP main problem is for UTHHARANDRA people ...........From vizag or kakinada or srikakulam..are very far from all these METRO's...they need to travel atleast 700km which is very bad.

But still these politician wont look after this issue. If they put mimimum efforts these places will develope like any thing.

VIZAG , KAKINADA have 3 big universities, good road fecility, train fecility also good.........but no proper AIR CONNECTIVITY TILL NOW

That vizag airport works stared almost when SHAMSHABAD (HYD INT AIRPORT) work started.......but still its going onnnnnnnnnnn....NO END

We cannot compare new hyd airport with vizag airport (Very small airport ) but still its too late, surprising lots of international companies like SILK AIR, AIR SRILANKA, MALASIANS AIRLINES , dubai got CIVIL AVIATION PERMISSION to run DIRECT flights to VIZAG...all these international locations that to 1.5 YRS BACK only but still this airport is not yet ready.

Already night landing fecility is there in vizag airport but still no 24 x 7 operations are allowed since its controlled by NAVY....surprising it need 15 more people only but NAVY was not agreeing to recruit those and telling INDIAN GOVT was not able to pay salary to them.....it seems like a big JOKE ,but its true ,check 4- 5 months back any national news papers u will find this statement.

DONT U THINK ITS BECAUSE OF POLITIANS........THEY DONT HAVE FOCUS

FINALLY ITS ONLY FAULT OF PEOPLE OF UTHHARANDRA THEY WONT ELECT ANY LOCAL GUYS........

UNTILL UNLESS WE CHANGE NO ONE WILL TAKE CARE ABOU US.......

ENKA MANA JEEVITHAM ANTHA """"GODAVARI EXPRESS""""",""""PRASANTHI""""","CHENNAI MAIL""""" veeti thone gadachi pothundi............

ina manallako porigindi pulla kuda estam kabolu......Telugu sametha

Source Link : http://www.ibnlive.com/news/how-corrupt-is-your-state-read-this-survey-report/72592-3.html

Quote:

India: When it comes to corruption, you knew India has a dubious distinction, but now a survey done by Transparency International tells you where your state stands on the national corruption index.

The state-by-state survey by Transparency International India and the Centre for Media Studies, New Delhi places four Indian states in its "Alarmingly Corrupt" category.

The four states are - Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

The next rung of "Very Highly Corrupt" states include Karnataka - which was ranked 17th in a 2005 Transparency International India survey - Rajasthan as well as Tamil Nadu.

Not as notorious but still "Highly Corrupt" are the five states of Chhatisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala and Orissa.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal are the "Moderately Corrupt" states of India.

The survey is a part of efforts by Transparency International India to reduce corruption by promoting and supporting transparent and ethical practices in the Government sector.

Transparency International had randomly selected a sample of 22,728 BPL households from all across the country, including Bangalore, Bidar, Raichur and Chitradurga. The BPL families were surveyed to ascertain which were the most unhappy and extorted lot and in which state.

The Police Department in all these states tops the corruption chart followed by others including the Forest Department, Land Records/Registration and Housing.

Electricity, banking, education, water supply and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme fell under the other corrupt services.

The survey ascertained that nearly Rs 883 crore was paid as bribes in the year 2007 by BPL families to avail of these public services - which include getting a ration card as well as for admissions in schools.

Of the entire bribe money, Rs 214.8 crore was paid to the police.

Jharkhand and Chattisgarh were 2 richest states at the time of their creation, now under heavy corruption, are now backward states......

Shouldnt we be happy that Andhra Pradesh is not so corrupt?

Will this improve if split ?

let us celebrate by seeing the report, but one thing is certain vizag is most corrupt city when in comparision to others in AP. here beurocrates, government employees do very intelligent corruption and one in 100 normally get caught. we can happily gie a title "paradise of corruption" in comparision to new delhi which is 100% corrupt. thereport also should give mentalities of people of various states, people of most of the states mentioned as corrupt always look for freebies, just like in vizag who encroaches hills for construction of thatched house each who owns more than 5-10 plots and even sells the plots for 50000-60000 each. communists normally collects their party fund by this type of activity on the pretext of bhooporatams before elections.
