This is ridiculous. The State Government is planning to introduce Telugu a compulsory subject till Undergraduate.
The CBSE and other central boards have strongly opposed the move a day after the plan was announced. Even parents oppose this. The logic is simple. People get good money from MNCs and IT companies. And for that, English is mandatory. Telugu has no place in those fields. Why will the parents agree to making a language compulsory which will not help them succeed professionally.
I agree that we need to protect our culture and traditions. Steps should not be taken to protect and preserve the culture, but people should not be made uncomfortable to do this.
