Aecom awarded contract for India's Hyderabad Metro Rail project
Aecom Technology Corp, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that it has been awarded a five-year, US$17.6-million planning and design contract for Phase I services of India's Hyderabad Metro Rail project.

The project covers construction, operation and maintenance of three high-traffic-density metro rail corridors consisting of 66 stations and about 45 miles of elevated rail viaduct in the city of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh state.

Aecom, serving in the consortium's lead role, has won this project with consortium partner Feedback Ventures Private Limited from the concessionaire, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, which is part of Larsen & Toubro Limited.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail project concession was granted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Metro Rail is expected to commence operation during 2016.

Yes what you said is right and your analysis are also very good.

Metro Helps the HYD city to ease the traffic on roads as well as it will help Employees,Students and everyone in HYD city.

But we also take into consideration about the employees who are working in HYD and who are doing Up and Down to HYD daily then should have proper connectivity to City.

MMTS will helps them in this scenario this will also helps in reducing the migration to city from near by villages.

They can stay in their village with better connectivity to city.

MMTS should be extended upto Nalgonda,Mehaboobnagar,Medak and Ranga Reddy.

Hi i am not against to Metro but HYD has good Transport connectivity with MMTS.

If MMTS Phase II is completed then the city will be having good connectivity with Airport and also with Outskirts and also with malkajgiri.

Even if the metro is completed it does not have Airport Route.

As per HYD Requirement it should have Metro but as per my knowledge it is not the Prestigious project of Andhra Pradesh.

Vamsi there are lots of things can be done with 12000cr

You can lay lots of important tracks of AP with this amount..

1.Mirayaguda-jaggayapeta use Vijayawada-Hyd distance will reduce by around 100 km by this route(100cr)

2.Kotipalli-Narsapur with this Kakinada-Vijayawad distance will reduce and vizag to vijayawad route gets an alternate(1000cr)

3.Visakapatnam-Badrachalam track (1250 cr), vizag-hyd distance will reduce to 580km

4.Kadapa-Banglore (2000cr) except kurnool whole rayalaseema will become very close to Banglore

5.Ramagundam-Manuguru if it connects to Badrachalam-vskp route North telangana will develop very quickly since this road given nearest connection to major port cities like akinada, vizag (300cr)

6. Badrachalam-kovvur...(1000r) Bith gidavari districs will come close to hyd
by around 70-80 km will reduce.

7.Nizamabad-karimnagar which is a biggest boon to north telangana will cost only 200cr

8.Macherla-mahbubnagar 1100cr will be great add to our AP rail network which connects costal AP,South telangana,Rayalseema regions.

9.Nadikudi-stikalahasthi.....south andhra, rayalaseems will become close to Hyderabad (1500cr)

Ina ebka 4000-5000cr miguluthay.......so there are lots of things can be done....

but reality is hyderbad metr0....once again there is no tranportation infra project in AP in a city with huge investment....

thats the reason i called it as AP prestigious project......if u have any please mention.

Manuguru-Ramagundam line can also helps to reduce the distance between vishakapatanam-mubai with the connectivity of vishakapatam-manuguru-ramagundam-nizamabad-manmad-mumbai.

Our existing human living style has to change.
Takes house at uppal ring road and uses to travel towards the end of kukatpalli-hitech city.
Or house at kukatpalli and office at DRDO/hayatnagar/sagar road.
House at Koti/abids city center husband office at DRDO and wife office at hitech city.

This is our present hi-tech life to waste the fuel and time on travelling with fantastic traffic jam.. ..

Can't our governament make a proper planned new city, where we can have a township attached factories/office complex/industrial complex units.

" Each factory/industry/office should have its own township" then only we can save the fuel for the future human generation.
