The rise and fall of Lok Satta

Everyone had high hopes for the Lok Satta Party when it was formed. Party founder and president Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan is a man of ideals and is a source of inspiration to many. He inspires the youth with his speeches. Unfortunately, the party has realized that speeches alone won't win elections anymore. Certainly not in India. Only JP won the MLA seat in the 2009 elections from Lok Satta.

I am pretty sure he retains the constituency in 2014 elections, but what about the rest?

Is Lok Satta doomed to be a one-man-party?

I think it will take a lot of time for the chance to come. Educated voters have to first start voting for LS and get more MLA posts before anything meaningful can be done.
